Engr. Dauda Aleokhai Musa, popularly known as Alek, is the founding Managing Director and CEO of Flowgrids Limited. His deep passion for reservoir engineering and geosciences, combined with his commitment to mentoring young professionals, led to the establishment of Flowgrids in 2011 after his retirement as Deputy Managing Director (Corporate) of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria. His 29-year tenure with Total (now TotalEnergies) included numerous technical and managerial roles in Nigeria and Europe, where he played a pivotal role in shaping reservoir engineering and corporate development strategies.

Throughout his career, Engr. Musa held several key positions at Total, including Reservoir Engineering Manager (1995-2001), General Manager of Geosciences & Reservoir Engineering (2001-2005), and Executive General Manager of Corporate Development & Services (2005-2008), before serving as Deputy Managing Director (2008-2010). His industry journey began as a field engineer with Schlumberger in 1979, laying the foundation for his extensive expertise in petroleum engineering and leadership. He has remained actively involved in professional organizations, serving as the African Regional Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) from 2009 to 2012, a distinguished SPE member since 2015, and Chair of the SPE Nigerian Council Board of Trustees (2019-2022).

Engr. Musa is a fellow of both the Institute of Petroleum Studies at the University of Port Harcourt and the Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists, an affiliate of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) in Nigeria. He earned a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos and pursued postgraduate studies at the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP) in Paris, France. He is also a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, further solidifying his contributions to the advancement of engineering and geosciences in Nigeria and beyond.
