Prof. David O. Ogbe, PhD, PE, is the founding Executive Director of Consulting, Research, and Training at Flowgrids Limited in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, since 2011, and the founder of Flowgrids LLC (USA) in 2024. He is also a visiting professor at the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria, where he previously served as Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department (2015-2019). Additionally, he is the President of Greatland Solutions, LLC, in Greenwood Village, Colorado, USA, and a Professor Emeritus at the University of Alaska. Earlier in his career, Prof. Ogbe worked as a Lead Reservoir Engineer with Schlumberger (now SLB) and began his industry experience as an intern with Gulf Oil (now Chevron) in Nigeria. During his tenure at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, he was Professor of Petroleum Engineering and the Associate Director of the Petroleum Development (Research) Laboratory and coordinator of the Coal Bed Methane Research Program. He was visiting professor at Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria

Prof. Ogbe has extensive global industry experience, including consulting and research in well test analysis, reservoir characterization, reservoir engineering and modeling, integrated field development planning, and high-performance computational modeling. His work has spanned the USA—covering the Rocky Mountains, Alaska, California, and Texas—as well as Canada, the Middle East, South America, and Africa. He has also contributed significantly to the oil and gas industry through board memberships in several oil and gas technology and engineering service companies in Nigeria.
